// FELIX HAAKSMAN Besides Djing, Felix is an acclaimed producer. In 2003 he released the "Go Dutch!" EP with his project Dutch Rhythm Combo on Pulver Records. Conceived as an imaginary band, the Dutch Rhythm Combo, conducted by Felix himself, presents a range of musical genres that fuse dub, disco and tropical tunes in an organic style. The prefix "Dutch" relates to the biographic roots of Felix Haaksman, who's family comes from the land of windmills and Gouda cheese, to which Felix is very specially related to. The Dutch Rhythm Combo's second release, the legendary "Antilles EP", was released in 2004, followed by the "Venom EP" in 2005. Joe Dukie from New Zealand's hot reggae-soul outfit Fat Freddys Drop was the guest voice on this third record release by Dutch Rhythm Combo. Recorded on the hottest day of the Berlin summer, "Venom" sweats excellent funky rhythm and soul grooves in a nice disco boogie outfit. Parallely to his output as Dutch Rhythm Combo and a long list of DJ gigs all over the world, Felix worked on film scores and music for advertising. With his brother Daniel (as "Haaksman+Haaksman") he produced remixes for Ray Barretto, Gotan Project, Tosca, Stereotyp, Shantel, Rodney Hunter, Nickodemus, Moonshine Sessions and many others. In 2007 the imprint Highscore Publishing was started, a Berlin based label and music publishing company, run by brothers Daniel & Felix Haaksman. Later that year the worldwide highly acclaimed Bonaire remix series was released. It contained remixes of Blackjoy, Maximilian Skiba, Al Usher and Soul Village. The next release of his project Dutch Rhythm Combo was the "Sounds Of The Caribbean" in 2008. The title of the EP was chosen as it features a variety of musical styles that include Dub, Cumbia, Reggaeton and Hispanic Music influences.
